Mold Around Bay Window

Finding moisture around exterior windows is common after heavy rains- especially with older windows that have incursions in the caulk or flashing. This window had hidden mold behind wallpaper but the smell and the moisture meters that SERVPRO of Fair Oaks-Centreville-Chantilly used told us that there was microbial growth somewhere in the vicinity.  Our customer was very surprised at the amount of growth lurking in the building materials around the window.  Mold was a result of the moisture in the walls and affected the wallpaper, the drywall, the insulation and the structure around the window (which was cleaned after the non-structural materials were removed)
